Santa RosaBook & Media Pickup

Santa Rosa book reuse guide

Where to donate books in Santa Rosa when you want them reused.

Some collections are easy to drop off. Others are heavy, boxed up, or mixed with records, discs, games, and old tapes. This guide helps you choose the right path, including free pickup for larger clean book-first collections.

Need pickup instead of drop-off?

For larger clean collections, pickup can be easier than drop-off. Santa Rosa Book & Media Pickup is operated by SignalPricer LLC. It is not a charity and does not provide tax-deductible donation receipts. Accepted items may be resold, reused, donated, recycled, or otherwise sorted based on condition.

Drop-off options to check first

  • Ask local thrift stores or reuse shops what they currently accept.
  • Check library sale groups, school fundraisers, or community book sales before dropping off.
  • Offer small batches through neighborhood groups when the books are clean and easy to describe.
  • Use recycling only for books or media that are too damaged, outdated, or low-quality to reuse.

When pickup is the practical route

  • You have 3+ boxes of clean books, or a larger book-first media collection.
  • The boxes are easy to reach from a porch, garage, driveway, lobby, or simple pickup spot.
  • You can send photos first so the whole collection can be reviewed and we can tell you which books, records, discs, games, or mixed-in tapes should be included.

Have boxes ready now?

If the collection is clean, dry, and easy to reach, send photos and choose a pickup time.
